Teaching a puppy their name is one of the first things it will learn! It’s easy, fun, and it will help you train your puppy in the future.

Teaching a puppy their name—

1. Get a handful of small soft treats. We love pupford.

2. Make sure there are no distractions in the area.

3. Put the treat near your eye and say the dogs name in a happy tone.

4. As soon as your dog looks at you mark the behavior with “Yes!”

5. Give the puppy a treat + praise.

6. Wait for the dog to look away and say it’s name again. Reward with treats.

7. Repeat! Repeat! Have another family member try and add distractions!
